The 2015 Taos Shortz Film Fest combines global cinema with the beauty of the high desert in Taos, New Mexico. The 8th annual Taos Shortz Film Fest will screen 150 juried global short films from 32 countries. Over 80 international and regional filmmakers are planning and eager to attend this year's festival. Mixed into this whirlwind 4 days will be late night parties, a filmmakers lounge, press media interviews and general film frolicking. Our festival venue is centrally located to eateries and shops, making this festival a "walking" adventure. Voted "One of the top 50 film festivals worthy the entry fee by Movie Maker Magazine", Taos Shortz Film Fest is dedicated to keeping the cinematic arts alive in Taos. Native American Global Short Films / Program 2 Thursday, March 19th / 4pm
James Lujan, director of the Institute of American Indian Arts ( IAIA) in Santa Fe will host the show, screening Native American short films and talk about IAIA's role in promoting indigenous filmmaking worldwide.
